The project “DESIGNED IN SECURITIES – PVC PIPES AND FITTINGS”, was born in the discipline of Assistive Technology Course of Occupational Therapy at the Catholic University Dom Bosco – Campo Grande / MS, taught by Prof. Grace Claudia Gasparini, in 2005.

He arose from the need to find inexpensive furniture adapted for maintaining posture sitting and standing, independence in hygiene, food and transportation for children with neuromotor dysfunction, particularly those incorporated in the poor and needy of these resources.

Given the positive goals achieved with the securities, the project was entered in the “Bank of Brazil Foundation Award for Social Technology” – 2005 Edition, one of the finalists. Thereafter, there were some leaks that made the project attracts interest from other professionals in relation to its making. Simultaneously, we sought new partnerships that could fund part of the project, to bring the securities to a greater number of poor children with neuromotor dysfunction and, at that moment, attended the Clinical School of that University. At this point then obtained the support of the Institute of PVC, and fund some equipment to needy community also helped disseminate the project, which is now widespread through training courses, throughout Brazil.
